This is David's first book first published back in 1993!  Previously he'd had  poems published in other people's anthologies, but So there! was the first title that was all his.  David says, "I'll always be gratefull to this little book, because it got the whole thing started.  Looking back at the book now it looks and feels a bit of a jolly-jumble!!  This is probably because I included almost all the pieces I had available at the time - rhymes, shape poems, mouth music, the lot!"  The most popular poems from this book have been A Funny Thing Happened, Cannibal-isms and Reggie, Take The Register.

Interesting Book Fact 1:  The grumpy little girl on the cover is actually Anne 'Illustrations Woman' Hodgkiss's  daughter, Ros.
Interesting Book Fact 2:  The Alphabet Speaks Up (featured below) was published in a text book in Germany with the intention of teaching teenagers there the pronunciation of the English letters.
